|"Moses" (now known as "Savage Rock") is a wonderful number, intricate and exciting. It is too bad it was cut from the original product. In this piece, Yma contrasts her deep growl with pure, bell-like high notes. Near the conclusion, Yma produces a series of pin-pointed high D-naturals that recall pyrotechnics of decades earlier. Bob Covais remembers that after these particular measures, during the recording session, Yma took off the hat she was wearing and threw it high into the air in a gesture of triumph.
