- Madame Sumac had been my childhood idol, and actually she still is an idol, so precious and so sublime. This is a great website that reflects many aspects of her great artistry. But I am very disappointed in new song reviews by Mr. Limansky who is unable to appreciate the elegant soul and simple musical beauty of her non-full-ranged-vocal-showcase songs in general.
I'd really love to see those unfair song reviews removed from this website. Since obviously Mr. Limansky can not understand that Yma Sumac was not a circus freak with vocal tricks but a great artist and performer. Therefore I would certainly not consider him worthy for writing a biography of Madame Sumac.

I am so sad that Yma Sumac has left us, it causes me so much pain. I have cried a lot for her and would have liked to be with her to give her the last farewell kiss as I kissed her when she was in Lima in 2006, when I was happy to have her near me. I know that I did something wonderful for her because she deserved it and this is my happiness in life. May God always bless her.
